Casa (Village) beira mar em Praia do Flamengo

We stayed for 4 days, and the owners' kindness made us feel right at home. It’s a wonderful place, comfortable and safe, all good.

We booked three days and paid in advance after looking at the photos and descriptions online, but we slept there just one night. They wouldn’t refund a single real, saying they’d turned away bookings for our room, even though it was clear nobody else was there and many other rooms were empty. We weren’t concerned about the money anyway, we wanted comfort. You can find somewhere better for less, and your vacation or trip deserves it. The place felt like staying in an abandoned house. The whole experience was dark and unsettling, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I stayed awake all night, ready to protect my family. Nothing disrespectful happened to us at any point, but it felt like something might. The service in general was unsatisfactory. You can see the lack of cleaning and upkeep from the main entrance. The inn is decorated with old furniture, not rustic furniture, and it creates a sinister feel. The garage entrance makes the lack of care and proper cleaning even clearer. By the pool, whose water was greenish, there was a guard booth with things from some meal that had last been used a long time ago. At night, after going out for a meal or sightseeing, you have to call the doorman or security guard to open the gate. There’s no 24-hour reception. The house gets even gloomier when all the lights go off, and that’s when we realized we were the only guests there. When we were leaving, a young man followed me to the car on the inn administrator’s instructions. I went back for more bags, and he disappeared. Another man in the main lobby offered to open the garage gate, then disappeared too. That was strange, and I really didn’t understand what they were trying to do. For anyone who wants to feel like they’re in a movie like RUN! (Corra!), this might be the place.

We stayed at Pousada Sarafina in January 2024. The accommodations and breakfast were both very good, and the beach is really close.

We felt at home from the moment we arrived. A peaceful, cozy place, and we were welcomed so warmly!
