Luis was a huge part of why we stayed so long. He was attentive throughout and tried to make the stay better while keeping costs down. His tips, especially about getting around by public transportation, saved us a lot of money. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, with few people around and a family-friendly feel. I only meant to stay one day, but wound up there for a week. I don't usually stay in hostels, but my hotel booking fell through and I was glad this was the option I had. I was pleasantly surprised by what the hostel offered. I'd recommend it to travelers.

I had to file a police report because I felt pressured and very threatened. The owner, whom I was fortunate not to meet, threatened to damage my credit after I canceled the reservation. The lack of courtesy, business sense, and basic kindness was unbearable, especially in a place like Barra, such a wonderful neighborhood in a joyful city. The service was awful. They’re in the wrong business and the wrong place. I feel sad about the future of this establishment and hope it ends up somewhere far away among corrupt opportunists like them.

The apartment was clean, well organized, and in a great location with everything nearby, including Farol da Barra. I felt at home, and Sr. Luiz was more helpful and kind than anyone who has hosted me before. I highly recommend it 😊

Luis, the owner, is fantastic. The shared accommodation has a spacious room, a good kitchen, and a big balcony for guests.
