A really nice pousada in a central area. The room was beautifully artistic, and the view is nice if you’re on the top floor.

The location is great, but getting around is difficult. The rooms are three floors up and there’s no elevator.

The owners are very friendly and gave us good advice, and breakfast was good. The pousada is right in the heart of the historic center. It was a little noisy, but we were there during carnival, so that’s normal.

Rosa and Luis welcomed me so warmly and generously when I arrived in Brazil. My rooftop room in Pelourinho was lovely, and the hosts cooked delicious traditional Bahian dishes for a generous, unusual breakfast. See you again soon, perhaps…

We spent three nights in Salvador and would wholeheartedly recommend this boutique hotel. The rooms were clean, the decor tasteful, and breakfast delicious. Both owners were incredibly friendly and helpful.
