Only four pieces of cassava came with our carne de sol, and the meat didn’t even look like 150 grams. It felt more like a sample than a serving. The portion wouldn’t feed even one person, never mind be something to share. This isn’t about expecting fancy food or objecting to the price. I just expect what’s advertised to match what arrives. The small amount gave me the impression that customers aren’t being looked after. For a tourist destination, that kind of problem matters. Visitors compare places, talk about them, and may not return. If the portions and serving standards aren’t reviewed soon, it’ll be hard for the business to move forward.

With a new manager and menu, it’s lovely to sit by the sea with a glass of wine and some moqueca. The stew was really succulent, and the wine selection was a surprise for Santo André. I recommend it.

We had lobster with lemon risotto and shrimp moqueca. The food was really good, the place was pleasant, and the price was fair.

Such a shame the former owners leased it out. They’ve ruined what used to be the best restaurant in Santo André. The food is expensive and tasteless, and the octopus I ordered was awful and rubbery.
