The breakfast was tasty and had a good variety, and the staff were very helpful. The pool was great for cooling off in the heat, and the pousada offers good value in Santo Amaro. My only issue was the noise early in the morning. My room was below the kitchen and breakfast area, which disturbed my sleep. I imagine the other rooms may not have that problem.

The photos made the place look prettier and cozier than it felt in person. It was all tiled, without much nature around. Light came into our room and bothered us the first night, but they added curtains afterward. Breakfast was very basic and average, and some items, like the cereal, were soggy. The pool looked dirty.

I stayed in August 2025. We arrived before check-in, left our bags at reception, and collected them after our outing before heading up to the room. The pousada was pleasant overall, and I had a good stay. Santo Amaro has a lot of room to develop its tourism, but the tours there are the best, so staying in the area is worth it. The location is farther out, and the surroundings are quite dark, which wouldn't feel great for someone traveling alone. I asked the transfer staff to drop me in the center, then walked back with my husband. It took about 15 minutes and was easy enough. The room was good, though the photos made it look bigger. The bathroom was small, and the sink water had a strong sewer smell. I noticed the same bad smell on one of our tours in Santo Amaro, too. The shower was awful: water sprayed everywhere except onto me, making it hard to wash sand off. I told the receptionist the next day, and she said she'd send someone to fix it, but after our outing it was still the same. Other tourists mentioned poor shower water flow at other pousadas as well, so it could be a town issue. Breakfast was simple but very good and suited us well before tours. The breakfast area had a nice view, but the wind was so strong it knocked things over and even spilled my coffee. The outdoor area was pleasant, though it looked bigger in the photos. I didn't use the pool, since I came back so tired from the outings that I just wanted to go to my room.

The room was awful and stank of sewage. The water was dirty and yellow from the sink, shower, and toilet. There were crickets and other insects inside, and the place felt more like a shop, with glass doors and some kind of cloth covering the windows. If sleeping in a smelly shop sounds good to you, this is the place. The pool is open to the street, which made me very uncomfortable. Imagine swimming while people walking past can see right into the hotel. Service was okay, and breakfast was simple but okay too. My complaints are about the terrible, smelly room and the very poor sanitation.
