Really good.

I’ve stayed here twice in different suites, so I can give a fair account. The setting is beautiful, with stunning views, and the indoor pool is lovely. The food is even better, especially thanks to Chef Nilceia. It’s a pleasant resort and I’d recommend visiting, but there are issues that need attention before it can earn top marks. Service can be slow on WhatsApp and by phone, and staff sometimes seem lost. There’s no on-site manager to sort things out when needed, and communication between reception and other areas seems poor. On an empty Tuesday, our room was missed even though the housekeeper had been told at 9:30. I had to go to reception before anyone arranged it. The checkout feedback link sent by email had already expired before I left, which made it hard to give feedback. The breakfast service also needs work. One waiter came with only a notebook and pen, without a menu or even a traditional buffet, so it wasn’t clear what was available. He got our order wrong more than once. He also didn’t know what gluten was and said it was a milk protein. When corrected, he got annoyed. Everyone is polite, but all staff handling food should be taught about this to avoid potentially serious problems from mistaken food information. The Master Suite is huge, almost like a ballroom, but not laid out very well. The bathroom has no natural ventilation, and both enormous balconies are uncovered, so you’re stuck inside the suite when it rains. There are only two small, uncomfortable chairs, and you have to carry them between balconies if you want to sit outside on the other one. The indoor pool really is wonderful, though its temperature fluctuates and sometimes feels a little cold. It could be warmer, since in winter it’s not usable for me. It also needs maintenance: tiles are coming loose, and some parts of the otherwise lovely lighting need attention. I mentioned the lighting on my first visit in November 2025, but it wasn’t addressed and was worse by 2026.

For the price, I expected a much better food experience. The meals felt repetitive and unimaginative, desserts were disappointing, and salads and fruit were scarce at both lunch and dinner. Breakfast was decent enough, but the selection was limited too. Food is a major part of a resort stay, and this fell short of what the rate and category led me to expect. The administrative side also needs improvement, and checkout at reception felt cold and unwelcoming, as though guests returning weren’t a priority. There are good things here. The room was excellent, comfortable, and well equipped. The resort’s modern architecture is attractive, the heated indoor pool met expectations, and staff were generally attentive. Cleaning was impeccable, and the scenery is unforgettable. It was a worthwhile experience, but it didn’t live up to the expectations or the high price, especially when it came to dining.

The access road could use some work. It was raining when we arrived, and there were potholes; we also weren’t sure about the route Wase showed for Marina. Once there, it was a lovely place to unwind and enjoy nature. Our spacious suite had a balcony and hot tub overlooking the lake, and it was quiet, clean, and everything worked perfectly. They surprised me with fruit and champagne in the room for my birthday. The heated pool was wonderful on a cold, rainy day, and all the staff were attentive, especially Timóteo at the bar. The singer on Saturday night treated us to beautiful songs. We loved the carefully kept garden and the peacocks wandering freely.
