Pousada Vale Monte Azul

Beautiful setting, lovely hosts, and an excellent breakfast. Recommended!

The owners, Ade and Mário, are such lovely people, and I especially liked that the place is pet-friendly. The accommodations, welcome, and hospitality were all top-notch, and breakfast was wonderful too. A perfect place. I recommend it without hesitation. 😉

From the first contact over WhatsApp right through checkout, the service was exceptional. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and breakfast was so good I can hardly describe it. Everything was prepared fresh with ingredients from the property, even milk from their own cow. There were cakes, tapiocas, omelets, and fresh bread. The owners were kind and polite throughout. I highly recommend it.

We had the most wonderful Carnival days and found the peace we needed. The whole place was beautiful, from the mountain scenery to the animals. It felt like a true mountain hideaway where we could connect with nature, and everything was impeccable. Ade and Mario were amazing. We clicked right away and felt like we were staying with friends. Ade welcomed us so warmly when we arrived, and had been attentive from our first WhatsApp contact. Our Alpino chalet was cozy and comfortable, with an incredible mountain view and a fantastic whirlpool tub. Ade’s breakfast was unforgettable, made with so much love and served in generous portions. There was a variety of sweets, breads, tapiocas, and omelets, as well as cheese and milk made right there. You can also have dinner at the pousada. Mario makes Italian pasta dishes, including pesto pasta and pizza. For me, his pasta was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. And the animals made the stay even more special. I loved spending time with the lovely cats Raimundinho, a Juju, a Daniel, a Sophie, along with the little dogs, goslings, and all the other animals who live there. We were lucky to meet such a wonderful, blessed family. Thank you, Ade and Mario, for an unforgettable stay and for all your care. We’ll definitely be back!
