The food was great, but everything is old. If you’re after “communist memories,” it’s perfect. I’m taking off stars because there was a big wall right outside my window.

Carla makes excellent cocktails at the pool bar! The hotel was nice and comfortable, and the buffet food was excellent.

I couldn’t give a negative rating, so I gave one star. Please don’t spend your hard-earned money or vacation time booking this hotel. The staff are very rude. Most of the time the menu seems to be for show, because at lunch or dinner they hand you a three-line menu that feels like something for a prisoner. It takes 15 minutes to walk from the entrance to your room. After 11 pm, even if you need water, reception alarms the phone downstairs and tells you to call in the morning. Imagine if there’s an emergency. The staff and facilities are a sham. I was meant to stay four days, arrived today at 8 pm, and am leaving tomorrow at noon. Terrible experience. Don’t ever book this hotel.

It was a real time sink. If you’re unlucky and get a room in another block, it takes about 10 minutes to reach it from reception. You have to call an elevator and go to the 7th floor, walk about five minutes to the other block, then take another elevator to your floor. The room card, which you need for the elevator, may not work in the second one. That happened to me a couple of times, and I had to go back to reception. Also, the toilet was leaking, so it was always wet.
