We thought day use would include being able to leave our bags while going to the beach, but this hostel wanted 35 BRL per person for that. After the property replied, I want to clarify that we spoke with two volunteers and called the hostel’s contact number to reach the manager or owner. All of them said we could only leave our luggage if each of us paid 35 BRL. I assumed there had to be a misunderstanding, since nearly every hostel offers this basic service, but they confirmed the charge. I wish I’d been able to show the hostel volunteers or manager this reply. Maybe the person responding to the review just isn’t aware of what actually happens at the hostel.

I spent three weeks there last December, and the staff were friendly, kind, and helpful. I’m planning to return to Santos next February and stay there again.

After a long bus ride, I got there at 8 in the morning, but they wouldn’t open the door. I had to leave and go somewhere else. Really bad place.
