Ema Palace

The air conditioner squeaked loudly the whole time, and the rooms are in disrepair. When I asked someone to look at it, staff said there was nobody available. I asked for a manager and was told he’d already gone home. When I asked what I was supposed to do, they told me to go to another hotel if I didn’t like it. The staff were extremely rude and disrespectful, and the management wasn’t much better. You don’t speak to customers that way. That man was extremely rude and needs to find a new job. Horrible. Do not use.

Vila Ema is a beautiful neighborhood to explore on foot, with small shops, restaurants, and bars just a few minutes away. The hotel is on a quiet street, so there’s no noise bothering you. It was clean and quiet, with very clean rooms, all the usual amenities, and a delicious breakfast buffet.

The location is very good, with shops and things to do within walking distance. There’s a restaurant with reasonable prices, a good breakfast, and a pool for warmer days, though I couldn’t use it. The hotel also has enclosed parking included in the room price. It’s a nice, very clean place with spacious rooms.

The rooms are clean and good, though they could use renovation and remodeling. Great breakfast, excellent location, and awesome service.
