Pousada Vila Caju

Maria was especially attentive, and I really liked the pousada. Our bungalow had a kitchen with utensils, a stove, and a mini-fridge, plus a living room with a TV and a hammock on the veranda. There were lots of mosquitoes, so keep the windows shut from late afternoon on. There’s a net over the bed, but a few still manage to get in, haha. The air conditioning barely cooled the room, and none of the TV channels worked.

There’s a pool for both adults and children, along with two parking areas. The pousada also has a lovely garden full of fruit trees, including cashew, mango, and lemon, plus plenty of others.

We spent 14 days in Bangalô Sol and were able to work remotely without trouble thanks to the Wi-Fi. The bungalow was clean and had a double bed with a mosquito net, a sofa bed, a kitchen and its supplies, air conditioning in the bedroom, a TV, and a large bathroom. A fan in the kitchen area might help cool it down faster on very hot days. The beach, Praia da Ponta de Santo Cristo, was a 5-10 minute walk away. Rua da Xepa and Kauli Seadi were each about 15 minutes on foot. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fruit and breads, and you could order tapioca and omelets. Maria’s omelet with cheese and tomato was simple but really tasty. Ely answered our questions and suggested outings when we first got in touch on WhatsApp. Thanks to her, Maria, Josi, and Janilson for being so friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely come back.

The bungalows are roomy, lovely, and have all the comforts you need. There’s greenery all around, and relaxing in a hammock on the veranda is a treat. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very helpful.
