The hotel is on a quiet street and handy if you're working around Berrini. The room itself was quiet, with noise-proof windows, but cleanliness needs real improvement. There was mold on the walls near the beds, and the rooms felt outdated. The beds weren't comfortable, the shower was poor, and the Wi-Fi kept dropping and had a weak signal. After I complained, the staff didn't seem concerned, so I had to speak to the manager to get a room change. The new room had a better shower, but the other problems remained. Breakfast was good, though it was served in a space that didn't feel like a proper restaurant. I also couldn't collect reward points because an agency had booked the stay instead of me, which seems absurd and unlike anything I've encountered elsewhere. For me, this feels more like a three-star hotel than a four-star one. I wouldn't recommend it, since there are better choices nearby.

They kept our luggage while we spent five days visiting Bahia, which was a huge help. We stayed here on two separate nights: the newer redesigned suite was lovely, while the older room we got the second night felt worn out and tired. If you can get a newer room, it's worth staying. Breakfast was just so-so, nothing special. We were told weekend breakfast began at 6 am, but it actually started at 7.

The room was good, the bed comfortable, and the staff very nice. But the bathroom needs renovating: there are black marks between the tiles that might be mold, and they look awful. Breakfast is very ordinary. As a vegan, I could only have fruit and maybe chia seeds with cold water. There was no soy or other alternative milk, the bread was poor, and there wasn't even lactose-free milk, butter, or yogurt for people who can't have lactose. No vegetables or nuts either. Coffee was filtered, with no espresso machine.

We asked for a crib for our son, and they first tried to charge extra for the one we'd already requested, then said they didn't have cribs at all. It left me wondering who runs this hotel and why they don't care more about their guests. When we arrived, nobody was waiting at the front desk, but we still had to wait ten minutes for an employee to finish sorting paperwork. They also had no record of the reservation we'd made through a regular booking site. Luckily, we had the confirmation, or the employee might have sent us away. After check-in we stopped at the restaurant for a quick lunch. The waitress didn't know whether French fries or Caipirinhas were on the menu. She didn't seem new, just uninterested, uninformed, and checked out. I wouldn't book here if you expect basic room necessities. And if you're after a nice, higher-end hotel in São Paulo, this isn't it. I still hope someone in management starts caring more about guests and makes the needed improvements.
