Charlie Harmonia Vila Madalena

I was really happy with my stay and would definitely come back and recommend it to family and friends. The room was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything needed to prepare food. The service was excellent, and I loved the women at reception. The Charlie property is well located and felt safe, with a bakery and market nearby. It's also close to Vila Madalena Metro Station.

I was a little worried after reading earlier reviews since I'd already booked a few days, but the stay turned out great and met my expectations from start to finish. The room was tidy, the fridge and microwave worked, and so did the shower, faucets, and air conditioning. The TV's internet never froze. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets and towels were up to standard. I came and went several times and was treated well by reception. There's a little market next to the desk, and an OXXO right beside it too. I ordered iFood several times, and it arrived quickly each time because there are lots of nearby places. I'd happily return and recommend it.

The room was very clean and well organized, and the location is excellent. The small kitchen works fine, and the fridge is good. A few things could use attention: the toilet lid should be replaced with one that fits properly and stays up, and the sheets could be larger so they don't come loose. The bathroom has a bad smell, though I could see it's an issue with the building itself.

I've stayed here regularly for over a year, but my last two visits were disastrous. On one night I woke up to someone coming into my room. They'd given a new guest my apartment and my door code. Then, although check-in was at 3, I wasn't allowed in until 4:30. When I got inside, there was no bedding, just a dirty comforter used by another guest. The housekeeper came in and put on only a sheet, leaving the dirty comforter because she said there wasn't another one. Absurd and disgusting. A terrible experience.
