Comfort Hotel Ibirapuera

I really regret staying here. I wouldn't come back. The location is good, and the hotel is reasonably clean and nicely decorated, but the bathroom smelled of sewage, the outlets were odd, and the appliances were old. At breakfast there were only two kinds of fruit, machine coffee, and stale bread. The restaurant food at lunch and dinner was good, though quite expensive. I'd still eat elsewhere, since the area has several good options at the same price with much better service. I didn't feel welcome apart from the reception and restaurant staff on the morning shift. Other guests were complaining about improper consumption charges at checkout, so I wasn't surprised when they tried to bill me 19 bucks for a coffee. The manager herself said the charge was fair, even though there was no notice that coffee from the self-service machine, not even espresso, wasn't complimentary. When I said I'd file an official complaint if I had to pay, they removed the charge. It was a stressful way to start the day and a bad last memory of the place.

For the affordable rate and great location, I'd stay again. The room was clean and comfortable, with working WiFi that was easy to access, and ordering snacks or room service was quick and simple. The studio had a queen bed, though the furnishings and amenities were pretty average. The front desk staff spoke English, which helped since I don't speak Portuguese, and they were friendly and easy to understand. I thought the pool could be cleaner, but it was winter, so I can see why regular upkeep may not have been a priority.

Good value for the discounted rate. The room was tidy and clean, with a nice view. Breakfast was average, and the TV felt quite dated. The balcony was tiny, and the AC took up half of it. Not every room is like that, so maybe ask if it matters to you.

It's a comfortable, nice place, but the bathroom needs more attention. The sink kept leaking, the shower was stained, and the towels were thin. Breakfast could use more care and a wider selection too.
