Haus Mitre Vila Mariana

Even my neighbor downstairs has heard the noise, but nothing was done. I’ve complained to the building manager, the administration, and MITRE. The manager says the apartment meets the standards and that it’s just my perception. Getting MITRE’s attention took two complaints through Reclame Aqui; after the first, they only called. The noise comes through the walls and ceiling so clearly that I hear conversations, footsteps, dishes being set out to dry, and even my neighbor urinating, on top of the plumbing and toilet flush. I’ve got recordings, emails, and messages from other residents in the group who deal with the same thing. Some are taking legal action against neighbors, when the real issue is the nonexistent sound insulation. With the doors and windows shut and earplugs in, I still wake up to footsteps overhead or a neighbor’s 5 a.m. alarm echoing through my room. In the evening, I’ll be trying to watch a movie and jump at what sounds like a knock at the door, only to realize it’s someone next door walking around. That’s the MITRE quality: an apartment costing over a million reais, no support, and all your complaints dismissed as your perception. This builder is awful, stay away. Yes, that’s sarcasm.

The location in São Paulo is great, just five minutes from the metro. I stayed for a short time and really liked the place. The modern condo is spotless, with a top-notch laundry room, a great coworking space for meetings, and a state-of-the-art gym with video classes. Very happy with it.

The app has a problem and sends you to a website that doesn’t work either. Nothing works!

It’s lovely here, and I feel completely safe. Everything is clean and well organized. I’m in love with the place.
