Hostel Alice

The rooms and bathrooms were really clean, and the staff were helpful and polite. It’s a cute little hostel close to the metro and to Vila Madalena, São Paulo’s charming hippie and bar neighborhood. The atmosphere is relaxed and cool without being too much of a party scene, so it works if you want a quiet stay too. There’s a kitchen and an organized spot to eat, plus an amazing vegan bakery right next door. I’ll definitely come back.

I was at the hostel for an event, not to stay overnight. The common areas were clean and spacious, with a nice atmosphere, and the facilities seemed good. Staff were friendly, and the prices posted on the wall seemed reasonable. The Wi-Fi wasn’t very good, though lots of people using it weren’t guests, which may have played a part. I didn’t see the rooms, so I can’t say how spacious or comfortable they are. I had a great experience and would consider staying there if I need a hostel in São Paulo.

The people who work here made me feel at home. I had heaps of questions, and every one got answered. The place is clean and has such a nice atmosphere. It was the best spot I could have chosen for my first few nights in Brazil. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in SP, you’ve found it.

The location is so good, with spectacular coffee shops and restaurants nearby, and they send lots of local information before you arrive, including maps and public transport details. There are great shared spaces and a lovely outdoor garden, plus a well-equipped kitchen, clean rooms and bathrooms, and filtered drinking water. Coffee and tea are free all day, and breakfast is great for just B$ 10. You can borrow yoga mats, and there’s a vegan bakery attached that also runs yoga classes. There’s always something happening in the evenings, including FREE pasta night and Netflix night. The staff are super helpful. It’s the perfect place in São Paulo.
