Hostel Bryan Tatuape

I stayed here while on my pilgrimage to Aparecida do Norte. They treated me very well, and I got a great night’s sleep. It’s a quiet, family-friendly place.

This place really came to my rescue. I’d traveled from Araçatuba, felt unwell and needed sleep, and going all the way home didn’t make sense. It’s affordable and sits between Penha and Carrão metro stations, beside the radial road and Conselheiro Carrao. There’s a pharmacy and 24-hour convenience store nearby. The first time, I was treated very well, and the place was simple but cozy and in a fairly quiet area. Thank you, and God bless. One small thing from that stay: they should at least sell personal hygiene kits and keep toilet paper in the bathroom. Update after my second stay: I needed to stay again and planned to do what I’d done before, spend some time there, go to work, then come back and rest. They didn’t allow that, so I had to scramble because I was working overtime. There’d been no hassle with check-in or check-out the first time, but there was on my second visit. Other unpleasant things included no toilet paper in the bathroom unless I kept asking for it, which is awful for a woman, especially during her period; a lack of bathroom cleaning and sanitation; and noise at certain hours, even though I sleep heavily and fall asleep quickly. I don’t plan to return. There are maintenance issues and other things to improve, and I can see they won’t.

The family of Mr. Vanderlei made me feel very welcome. He was attentive to the guests, and the children were well-mannered and brought a light, positive energy. I felt cared for and safe, and it was a great experience. I definitely recommend this family-friendly, secure place. The rooms have good amenities, everything was clean, and there’s TV and Wi-Fi. It’s close to everything, including the metro and a bakery and market, with easy access to Brás.

This is my third stay at Hostel Brayan, and I’ll be back again. The owner’s care, attention and hospitality are what make me want to return. The positive energy and capable service make the hostel feel welcoming. It’s simple, clean and pleasant, and the surrounding area is very quiet. It’s a family atmosphere, with a professional and cordial welcome every time.
