Hostel Casa Azul

This isn't a party hostel, and I met plenty of nice people, mostly Brazilians. The staff were very kind, the place was clean enough, and for the price it's a good basic option. It's a safe area with a decent metro link, though a bit far from most attractions. I had two problems in my room: only a fan, no air conditioning, so I barely slept one night, and the flat bedsheets kept coming off every night. I'd stay again, just not during the hot summer without aircon.

It took me a day or so to get used to the location, a few minutes outside the city, but I already miss the people there. There's a quiet setting, shops nearby, decent beds, and it's clean, with great staff. I came in wondering if this was really a hostel, then ended up not wanting to leave. The people were amazing, and my first time in Brazil was a great experience.

A nice, clean hostel with very well-kept restrooms. The owner and receptionist are kind and helpful, and it has a distinctive music-loving crowd. I liked the open fridge with drinks: you just take one and put it on a card under your name.

My six-person mixed room had its own balcony and a lovely view. The location worked really well for visiting Ibirapuera Pard and neighborhoods like Moema and Campo Belo. This was easily the best hostel I've stayed at in Brazil: clean, with a nice atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. The proprietor is around and makes sure the standards stay good. Highly recommend it!
