Hotel Flert

We hadn't even been there an hour when the receptionist called to tell me and my partner to be quiet. He said nobody had complained, but that he makes rounds in the hallways and had called another room too. We weren't making noise, so I can only assume he was listening by the door or window. It was humiliating and so frustrating to pay 170 to stay somewhere that only accepts adults in double rooms, then be treated like couples have to pray the rosary. Couples, don't stay here. They have someone policing other people's noise. Grade: awful.

Even with the hotel full, everything was clean and quiet through the night.

For somewhere to sleep in São Paulo without paying for luxuries, this is a good value. The rooms are clean and have a good TV and a minibar, and the staff are welcoming, kind, and straightforward. Breakfast is decent too. I was there to sleep, and how the people working on the street across from the hotel do their jobs isn't my business. What matters to me is being treated with respect. If you need quiet, pick a room on the second floor. The Tietê, the metro, gas stations, and restaurants are nearby.
