Housi Bela Cintra

Really excellent!

The low price cost me what should have been a comfortable weekend. It turned into a horrible one. They haven't kept up even basic room maintenance: the towels were old and worn, the mirror lights didn't work, and water leaked from the shower enclosure. I asked for a sofa bed to be set up, and all they did was throw a worn blanket over the couch. There wasn't even a pillow, sheet, or anything else someone needs to sleep. They also have an unreasonable key policy. Even with two people in the apartment, they give you just one key, so an employee has to come open the door if the person holding it isn't there. I found that invasive. The service and the building are both going downhill. A cool-looking space doesn't make up for ignoring basic upkeep, and these policies wear the staff down and make the guest experience worse. They should charge a third of what they do for what's being delivered. It's embarrassing. I'm from Santa Catarina, where two Housi properties are opening. I hope the quality there is better, or it'll damage the brand even more. This is a real estate company with no know-how in hospitality.

My first time at HOUSI and I fell completely in love with it. The building's details, decor, and shared spaces are beautiful. It feels secure, with facial access to the building and a code for the room instead of keys. Downstairs there's a nice communal area and vending machines with snacks and drinks. There's even a hair dryer you can borrow and return, for a fee. The rooms have a fridge, microwave, and induction stove, and there's a small market nearby just after you enter Paulista. The bed was great, and both the air conditioning and shower were perfect. Since it's not a hotel, there's no room service or daily cleaning, and they don't restock shampoo, conditioner, or bath towels. It's an interesting kind of accommodation. I'll definitely be back!

Disappointing is the word. My wife and I were on vacation in Minas Gerais and had stayed in five different hotels. On the way back, we stopped in São Paulo specifically to test Housi, at the request of investor clients. It was by far the worst of them. The hotel on Bela Cintra looked neglected. One employee wasn't in uniform, and the elevator with pink carpet looked as if it had never been cleaned. Our apartment, 806, smelled really bad and was dirty and poorly cared for. The toilet seat was broken and loose, the sink was moldy, and the worn towels smelled bad. On top of that, the restaurant was closed for the year-end holidays, and nobody offered another breakfast option. The place visibly seemed to have no manager. I can't recommend anyone stay at a Housi.
