Intercity São Paulo Ibirapuera

Shops and restaurants are an easy walk away. Our room was a good size, clean, and looked like the photos on the hotel's website. Breakfast was included and had lots of options that we enjoyed, and the staff were friendly. There's also a nice outdoor pool, though we couldn't use it because it rained during our stay. I'd recommend the hotel.

I don't recommend staying here; I didn't feel safe. I was in the hotel for four days on a business trip and left cash dollars in a closed suitcase with my belongings in it, inside my room, where I thought it would be safe. The first few days were fine. On the day before I left, the money was gone. I noticed when I returned to a clean room and saw that my suitcase wasn't how I'd left it. The money disappeared that same day, a few hours before I was due to leave, and there had only been one person from the cleaning service in the room. I complained and asked them to check the cameras. An hour before checkout, the manager said the person who cleaned the room had stayed for only a minute and that staff are trained not to take guests' belongings. I had no time to do anything else besides file a police report because I was about to miss my flight. The hotel never took responsibility and didn't even respond to my company's official complaint. Is this really a four-star hotel? Don't stay here.

The property is close to Expo Center, and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. They don't have extra beds. Breakfast was a problem for vegetarians: there were only fruit and curds, with bread items as the main offering. Omelets cost extra, which I didn't like since I expect them to be included in a hotel's morning breakfast.

The Wi-Fi was so slow I couldn't use YouTube. My mobile data was much faster. Edit: The AC stopped working after the first day, and the room couldn't be cooled for the rest of my stay. When I called downstairs, maintenance came and said it was "slightly cooler," as if that's what you should expect from a place that advertises AC. They then blamed it on everyone using it.
