The only upside was a comfortable room. I stayed five days for work and can't recommend the place. Construction on two large buildings next door starts at 6 a.m., and work taking place at the hotel is also VERY loud. The food is VERY poor quality for its high prices, and the service is nowhere near best in class.

It's in a nicer part of São Paulo, with restaurants and coffee shops around. The beds and pillows are decent enough for a night or two, but the air conditioning barely works and won't do for summer. By European and US standards, I'd call this a three-star hotel. Finding a place in São Paulo with good AC seems difficult unless it's five-star. And I was really annoyed by the ice bucket rule. They charge £6 to take one to your room, which I've never come across before.

The location on Avineda Ibirapuera is very good, and it sits away from the flight path to CGH. Compared with the nearby hotels around Ibirapuera shopping center, it's quieter. It's definitely not a new hotel, but walking in still feels nice.

I had a terrible stay. The room didn't measure up to the photos, and I ran into problems with the bathroom. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The shower looked as if it had grout in it. The room and TV access were both very poor. It seems clear that Melia bought the place from someone else.
