The place could be great with some basic upkeep. The dark hallways need the burned-out bulbs replaced, and a day of carpet cleaning would help a lot. As it is, the hotel feels like an early-80s time capsule, complete with tube TVs operated by old-fashioned knobs on a built-in bedside control and noisy air-conditioning fitted by the window. It badly needs a proper clean and simple maintenance.

There’s plenty of space and the price is good. The receptionist will help with whatever you need. Just be careful in the bathroom: the bathtub is very high, and the floor is super slippery.

It’s clean, and the rate is R125 for a night. They also offer half-day and hourly rates. The lobby could use a sofa, and the carpet needs replacing. It’s one Metro stop from Tietê.

The reception staff are good people. You have to pay when you check out.

The place was filthy. There was hair all over the floor, the pillow smelled bad, and the toilet bowl had pee and poop in it.
