República da Luh

A terrible experience. We paid R$750,00 in advance to rent a room for an employee because Luciana said someone else wanted it and an advance deposit was needed to hold the reservation. The photos she sent didn't match the place we were offered. Our employee came from Rio de Janeiro and arrived to find it completely dirty, with a horrible smell and damp damage. We stayed only one night, from 13/03 to 14/03, less than 24 hours, and lost the full R$750,00. When we questioned Luciana, she was very rude and said it was all she had at the moment. She refused to move us to another room or return the money. First she said she'd refund half, then said she'd do it after 15 days, and finally told us to keep the key because the place would stay closed, but she still wouldn't refund us. We'll be pursuing our rights over this. I consider it a scam, and warn others not to rent here.
