We had already made and paid for our booking through the agency, but when we arrived at Smart Charlie Consoloção, reception said it wasn’t active, as if it had been cancelled for nonpayment. I felt embarrassed, and the whole situation was really uncomfortable. An internal check or a more considerate approach could have prevented it. We also hadn’t been told that check-in was online, which would have avoided the problem. Communication and service need to improve so guests don’t end up in this position.

I stayed in unit No. 208 for four nights, and the internet didn’t work the entire time. Several details also fall short of a five-star stay. The bathroom outlet is 10 amps, while the hair dryer is 20, so I had to use another socket. Luckily, the kitchen outlet was compatible. There’s no soap or shampoo holder in the shower, and some outlets are loose or poorly fitted, while others have no cover plate to hide the wiring. The bed was very comfortable, though the sofa wasn’t as much. The building has an unattended mini market and a 13th-floor terrace with loungers, tables, and chairs.
