The staff were helpful, and that’s the only reason for the one star. I don't recommend this hotel. It was dirty and very outdated, with a tiny room and a bed far too small for two people, maybe 120 cm or 140 cm. There were insects on the floor and walls, and the room smelled awful. The walls were dirty too. We didn’t get the room shown on booking.com or Google Maps. The breakfast room felt like a dark garage, very small and warm, with dirty, worn-out furniture. The hotel is downtown, in an area that didn’t feel pleasant, clean, or safe.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were excellent. It would have been nice to find bottled water in the room. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and Plaza Republica is close. The neighborhood feels dangerous to walk around at night. During the day, with shops open and plenty of police around, it feels much safer. If you take a wrong turn, you can end up on streets with drug users and homeless people.

The AC worked amazingly well, and the service was great. It’s a fair price for a 3 stars hotel, right in historic São Paulo.

Breakfast was a real highlight: eggs, viennas, good coffee, several teas, pudding, three kinds of bread, cold cuts, cookies and crackers, plus lots more. It was good value for money, and the hotel is fairly central with plenty to see and do nearby. The place feels a bit dated, and you can hear everything from other rooms. Housekeeping seemed to just make the bed and leave, though I’m not sure. Thanks for the stay.

The area feels sketchy after dark, so we stayed near the hotel at night. During the day it felt fine. There’s a nice little bar less than a block away, plus transit, good restaurants, and budget-friendly places to eat nearby. The staff were nice and accommodating. It’s a great choice if you’re traveling on a bit of a budget. We had everything we needed, and the free breakfast was extremely good.
