The beds were comfortable, the staff incredibly nice, and the location felt both safe and very convenient. The hotel/hostel is one of the best I've come across so far. Everything was very clean, and the furniture and interior design feel carefully thought out. Congratulations on such great work!

We loved our stay. The rooms were in excellent shape, clean, and cool, and the hostel itself was spotless with a great location for Vila Magdalena. The receptionist was fantastic. He arranged for someone to meet us at 5:30 am and pointed us to some great nearby places.

The hostel itself was lovely, with clean facilities, comfortable beds, and nice private bathrooms. I'd moved here from another highly rated place because it was filthy and I wanted somewhere quiet and clean. It was certainly quiet, with no other guests around except the girl working there and her friends. The bigger issue is how far it is from everything. To find a restaurant after 10 pm, you have to walk or get an Uber. One night I walked toward Villa Madalena to look for food and, after a few blocks, I was robbed at gunpoint. I know it's Brazil and nowhere is safe. Some people helped me get back to the hostel and called ahead to make sure someone could open the door. They told the staff what had happened. When I arrived terrified and shaken, the girl at reception just looked at me, didn't ask if I was okay, and I went to my room. When I came back out, I needed to use a phone for an international call. She said I could use it, but was no help figuring out how to call internationally. She seemed completely emotionless and didn't appear to care at all. She was more focused on telling her friends she "couldn't believe I got robbed in THIS neighborhood". I wanted to like this hostel, and I don't blame them for what happened on the street. But the hostess showed no compassion when I really needed help, which made an already horrifying situation worse. I was one of only a few guests there, I think there were two others, and helping me or showing some kindness didn't seem like it should have been that hard.

It's a beautiful place to stay and share cultures. You can meet people from all over the world, which is awesome. Everyone is kind and welcoming, and the place itself feels amazing, calm, and well organized.
