The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant, and the room felt spacious and like home from the moment I arrived. The building may be a little old, but that didn’t bother me. I think it may once have been a residential building that was turned into a hotel, and I wish more hotels did that. They found a nice balance between feeling cozy and homey while still providing hotel service. I saw all the positive reviews while searching for a hotel in SP, and after staying here, I agree with the high rating. I’d definitely come back if I return to SP.

After checking out, I was having trouble and had lost my phone. I asked them, “could you send an Email to all my contacts?” They could have paid for me for 2 - 7 nights, but they refused. This happened in December. You can see my display picture, they refused an international athlete and one of the richest guys in one third of a continent.

The location is great, with taxis always available out front and everything you might need within walking distance. Parking is on site and costs extra, but the service there is great. Breakfast costs extra too, but it’s amazing and worth the price. The rooms are small, and mine didn’t have the kitchenette shown in the pictures. The elevators are quite small as well. Laundry service is very expensive.

The rooms are reasonably sized and the hotel is in a safe area of Sao Paulo, but the cleanliness wasn’t good. The air conditioning is old and loud, and doesn’t work very well. The hotel is right under the city airport flight path, and with poorly insulated windows, aircraft taking off and landing are noisy from morning until evening. English is spoken at reception, but hardly in the restaurant, so orders often came out wrong. Breakfast was terribly boring, the same every day, and the food quality was poor.

I loved the area and the view, and reception were helpful, friendly, and spoke English. But the cleaning was disappointing, and some rooms seemed cleaner than others. I swear the person mopping the floor must have been braindead, the mop wasn’t even wet. The photos don’t show how bad it is.
