Estância Macaúbas - Casa de Temporada

A lovely place for both relaxing and getting out on adventures. Simone and Eduardo gave us great service, and Eduardo was always bringing out hot coffee and was such good company. My wife and I were happy with the simple, cozy stay and warm welcome. Even the inn's dogs are charming.

We were surprised by how lovely this place is. If you want to be close to nature, you'll enjoy it. We were treated very well, especially by the owner, Sr Eduardo, who went out of his way to help us. I'd recommend staying, and we'll be back.

This place is special. We've been twice now and have always been welcomed so warmly. The rooms are comfortable, and the atmosphere is simple, clean, and inviting. The river is close enough to walk to for a lovely swim in clear, natural water, and the grounds are very well kept. Breakfast is wonderful, with plenty of choice and delicious homemade cakes. We're grateful to Eduardo and his collaborator Jéssica for making us feel at home. She's so friendly and makes some really special treats, and we loved the easy conversation that's so characteristic of people from Minas Gerais. We hope to return soon.

The place takes some effort to reach, but the distance from the main road is worth it. The property sits right beside the Rio São Francisco at a lovely spot on the river. Our chalet had a full kitchen with a wood-burning stove, which is handy if you like to cook. The accommodations are simple, but clean and organized. Our only issue was the shower, which had low water pressure. Eduardo welcomed us warmly and was always available.
