Great.

Nothing works. The Wi-Fi doesn't reach room 81, and the TV is badly out of adjustment with Sky, so it gets no channels at all. If the rate had been up to 270 reais for just me, I would've let it go, but at 380 reais, with nothing working, it's not acceptable.

The staff were all really polite and helpful, and they even let us check out a little later. The location is also very convenient, with a small grocery shop, pharmacy, and restaurants nearby. The room, though, needs a lot of work. It felt old and poorly maintained, with worn, stained towels and a stained sheet. The furniture looked old and dirty, some outlets were coming loose, and parts of the walls had what looked like mold. There was also a locked door that I think connected to the next room, and nowhere to put clothes or a suitcase. The air conditioner was old and noisy, and even running all day it didn't cool the room properly. Breakfast was very basic, but adequate. We spent the weekend at Maresias praia hotel, and I think there are quite a few things to improve.

The location was the one good thing about our stay this weekend. The listing photos are very out of date, and for the nightly price it wasn't worth it. There was damp and mold throughout the inn, old makeshift furniture, exposed wires, dirty bathroom tiles, awful lighting, and a bathroom door that wouldn't close. The bed was comfortable enough, and the simple breakfast did the job. The internet barely worked. The worst part was the gate being locked until 7:00 with no way out. I wanted to see the sun rise at the beach this morning, but there was no employee around to open it, so I had to wait until 7:00.
