Duke Beach Hotel & SPA Maresias

The breakfast gave us a lovely taste of the region, with Brazilian flavors, tropical fruit, and freshly baked pastries. We were especially intrigued by how the menu tied into the Mata Atlântica biome. That thoughtful food experience added a lot to our stay. We’ve visited eco-resorts and luxury hotels around Mexico, and Duke’s approach to hospitality still impressed us. The team made every moment feel special, from sunset by the shore to exploring the lively surroundings. Our room felt serene and welcoming, with beautiful views, and the beach service was attentive. We left with memories we’ll treasure for years.

The pool and beach made it hard to choose where to spend the day. The suites feel luxurious, and the location is brilliant, a hidden gem on a beautiful beach. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

The location is great, right in the center and by the beach, and everything felt well taken care of. Our room was always clean, the food looked wonderful and tasted delicious, the internet was strong, and the service was impeccable. I was worried about finding vegan food in Maresias, but the restaurant had vegan options. The chef even came up with a surprise vegan cake for breakfast. That was such a thoughtful gesture, and I’ll remember it for a long time. Everyone was attentive and caring, and really made an effort to help us feel comfortable and at home. I had an amazing stay at the Duke Beach hotel and would absolutely recommend it. We’ll be back. Thanks to the whole team for making it so special.

The infinity pool by the beach and the staff are the standout features here. We especially appreciated Gabriel Cumin, who took such good care of my wife and me. Breakfast had fresh bread, fruit, meats and cheese, plus coffee and juice, and you could order extra items from the menu. The food and drinks by the pool were delicious too. The bed was a perfect 10, and we liked being able to control the lights and curtains. The TV and jacuzzi were easy to use, the rainfall shower was hot and powerful, and the soap and shampoo options were great, especially the "milk body lotion". The massage therapist was a pro with lots of experience and techniques. The hotel kept us informed before and during check-in, including updates about the weather, menu and massage options. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay excellent. The service felt Michelin level, and I’d highly recommend Duke Beach Hotel for a romantic couples’ getaway. We look forward to returning and will tell our friends. Outstanding work!
