The forest surrounds the hotel, so bring bug spray or cream. We recommend Citronilha, which is sold at the front desk. Breakfast buffet was incredible, and the staff were very friendly. There are two pools, lots of greenery, and rooms of a good size. It’s a simple hotel, but clean and comfortable, and we had a pleasant stay. Two beaches are close by: Feiticeira is a bit farther on foot but an easy enough walk, while Portinho is just a short stroll north.

Larissa from the restaurant was such a ray of sunshine, and it seemed like she’d picked up a few English words to make things easier for us. Everyone was warm and helpful. We don’t speak Portuguese, and even though the website said the staff didn’t speak English, they all made a real effort to communicate. We had a lovely stay at Feiticeira Praia Hotel and would happily recommend it.
