Pousada vila do sol juquehy

Really great!

I stayed there for two nights and arrived late to check in. The reception staff barely said good evening, and the room smelled awful, like it hadn’t been cleaned. The towels were stained, the shower grout was filthy, and when I opened the window to clear the steam, a slug fell onto my hand. There was leftover food in the fridge, apparently from other guests, and the bed was harder than the beach chairs. Breakfast was terrible, even worse than what I get at work. It felt like the end-of-the-month leftovers kind of breakfast. The receptionist was hardly ever at the desk. He seemed to be outside on the sidewalk, sitting and looking at his phone. I got in touch with Márcio, the owner of the pousada, though I’m not sure how to describe him. He was super rude and snobbish, and didn’t seem to have the right background for the hospitality business. I’ve stayed in simpler pousadas that were much more welcoming and pleasant. This place was a dump. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy, and I’ll never come back.

We’d traveled almost eight hours as a family to stay somewhere that didn’t live up to its promises, so we had to find another place. That’s how we ended up at this pousada, where Waldeilson welcomed us at the last minute. He was polite, warm, and attentive, showed us around the whole place, including the apartment, and managed to get us a reservation. There were three adults and one child in our group, and we all had plenty of room and felt comfortable. Breakfast was included, with fresh, tasty food and a good variety. The pousada also offered chairs and umbrellas free of charge, which came in handy. Felipe gave us great service too and was very attentive.

It’s a simple pousada in a convenient spot, near the center and only four blocks from the beach.
