Villa Mare Residence

Ariela makes you feel at home, and her house is beautiful and cozy. We loved the delicious breakfast, too. The location is perfect for a relaxing weekend, just two blocks from the calm Barequeçaba beach, which has good services. We brought our dog and will definitely be back many times.

We stayed as a couple at the end of June 2022. The pousada belongs to Sra. Ariela, a genuinely Italian, very friendly host. It's her own home, where she rents out rooms, and everything was clean and well organized. The breakfast was excellent, and she shared lots of tips. My wife still talks about Ariela, who was really the highlight of the stay. Barequecaba is a lovely, very calm beach, and it's near Ilhabela and other beaches on the northern coast of São Paulo state. We went in the low season, when the area and street were quiet. We'll come back someday.

The surroundings and rooms were excellent, and it's a nice place for a family vacation. The main issue was internet access, which had been promised when we booked. There was no internet in the rooms for anyone needing to work, and the spots where it worked had no privacy or quiet. If you don't need internet, that shouldn't be a problem. The garage could also be better: the spaces are arranged one behind another, so guests have to leave their keys for other guests to move the cars, which I found uncomfortable.

Our room was spacious and comfortable for two adults and two teenagers, and it was cleaned really well. Breakfast was excellent, with nothing missing, and Ariela was so caring toward the guests. The welcome was wonderful, too, with lots of tips for things to do and places to eat. We highly recommend it.
