The owners were friendly and helpful with tips, directions, and the booking. My room and the bed and bath linens were very clean, and the pool was a good size, though I didn’t use it since I was only staying the night. I did leave with some suggestions for improvement, especially considering what I felt was a high nightly rate. Breakfast was very basic: no hot dishes and almost no protein, just ham and mozzarella. When I asked about scrambled eggs or something else, I was told there weren’t any. There was lots of bread but little to put in it, no cheese bread or croissants, no bacon or sausage in sauce, and only margarine packets, not butter. There were some fruit and cakes. I also had trouble with the light coming into the room. There’s no blackout curtain, just a white one, and at dawn the light came through gaps around the windows and door and woke me when I wanted to sleep in. It was cool at night, so air conditioning wasn’t needed then, but I wouldn’t stay in summer without it. I’m Genius level 3 and paid 420 for one person. For that amount I stay at Radisson every month, and for half the price I can find hotels of the same category in the south with breakfast three times as complete. The access road is nearly 3 km of dirt, not suitable for every car, and dust gets all over you on the way in. There’s potential here, but I’d improve those things. The TV is small and not smart, though the minibar is a good size and wasn’t stocked.

Beth and Tonico run the guesthouse really well, and they’re both very friendly. We brought our pet, and she loved the place as much as we did. Breakfast was wonderful, served among the greenery with birds singing. On Saturday there was live music from an amazing duo, which made for a lovely time.
