Pousada Mirante Dos Adelphos

The trail and waterfall were a highlight, and the morning started with a generous breakfast of breads, cakes, cheeses, juice, jam, and fruit, all made on site with care. We were welcomed so warmly and shown to clean, fresh-smelling, cozy rooms. After plenty of conversation and rest, we felt recharged for the next day. Later, we came back to cold water, coffee, cake, and delicious mangoes picked from the property’s tree, then cooled off in the pool. We also had lunch together at a local fishing spot, with fresh fish caught right then. Saturday night brought pizza and Portuguese wine, followed by another restful night. Sunday’s breakfast was just as complete, then it was time to say goodbye. I’m so grateful to the staff for their care and for preparing all those breakfasts. The suite Terra had such thoughtful decor, right down to a little pot with a sprig of rosemary, delicate and somehow therapeutic. The rooms were clean, the waterfall was wonderful, and breakfast and the staff were lovely. We’d originally looked for a spa hotel, thinking massages and rest would be just right, but this inn surprised us. It felt magical. The owners and everyone caring for the place are incredible, and all the little details we noticed seemed to ease our tiredness and help us start fresh. We came hoping to reconnect, relax, and recharge, and we’re so thankful for all the kindness. We’ll definitely return, and I recommend it to everyone. Thank you.

The room is cozy and decorated with great taste, and the pool suits the place perfectly. Breakfast was delicious, with warm cakes coming out just before serving. Selma makes those lovely cakes, and she’s so sweet herself. They also serve grapes and other fruit picked right from the property. The waterfall is exclusively for guests, and everyone working there is friendly, courteous, and helpful. Nothing but praise from me. I’ll be back as soon as I can, this time with my daughters and grandchildren ☺️
