The whole hotel has been refreshed, and it feels like a standout place in Marajó's tourist capital. The rooms are excellent and have Wi-Fi, while a generator covers the entire hotel. There’s a pool with a swim-up bar, a sauna, a kids’ playground, a covered official tennis court, and two beach tennis courts. A gym and meeting auditorium are planned for soon. The two restaurants serve high-end food by Chef Delano Souza, a Marajoara chef.

The breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of choice and good quality. Chef Delano Souza at the restaurant was also very attentive. From the moment I arrived, the team welcomed me warmly and were polite, helpful, and careful with every detail. They made the hotel feel comfortable and inviting. I loved my stay and would come back and recommend it. Congratulations to everyone for their work.

A really pleasant, peaceful place to unwind, whether you’re here as a couple or with family. And the food is excellent too.

The food deserves a mention of its own, especially the best filé marajoara around. The hotel has all been renovated, and the team is a 10, friendly and attentive, with service that feels special. Congratulations!

The restaurant by Chef Delano is a highlight, from the generous breakfast to meals featuring Amazonian cuisine, which I think is the best in the world. The staff are attentive and from the local community. After being closed for years, Hotel Ilha do Marajó reopened under new management in November 2025, fully remodeled, and it’s a real gem in Soure. The comfortable modern rooms, pool with swim-up bar, tennis and beach tennis courts, kids’ play area, and wedding chapel make its facilities unique across Ilha do Marajó. Soure and the hotel have become my place to rest and reconnect with nature. A one of a kind experience, highly recommended.
