The welcome, attention, and communication from everyone at Pousada Costa Tropical made the stay feel so warm and comfortable. My family and I had unforgettable moments in Tamandare, a place we loved. We enjoyed everything and will come back. We already miss it. Congratulations to the whole team at Pousada Costa Tropical, and a big hug from all of us.

The location is great, but I can’t recommend this place to anyone. The room smelled musty, the shower was cold, the towels were stained, and the sheets were dirty. The shower water also had a really bad, strong smell. Breakfast was among the worst I’ve ever had, honestly. It seemed like leftovers, with old bread on the griddle, and the rest wasn’t any better. The pool water was cloudy too. Thankfully we only stayed one night. The photos give a very different impression from being there in person. They need to rethink what an inn should be. Simple doesn’t mean filthy or neglected. Please improve.

The pool was quite dirty when we arrived, though I think that may have been because there were so many guests. It had been cleaned by the next day, and I was able to swim. Breakfast was simple but tasty, and there’s a family area downstairs by the pool where you can sit and talk. It’s close to the beach, and during the high season the price felt worthwhile for what we got. Still, I wouldn’t return. We booked two rooms for two nights for our family of five, partly because I wanted to see for myself after hearing bad things about the inn. In our room, which my husband and I used, the cleanliness was disappointing: I found a toothpick by the headboard, the side sofa was covered in mold, the pillows smelled like dust mites, and the bathroom reeked of poop. The toilet looked very dirty, though it turned out the seat was just very worn. Even at a simple inn, cleanliness is the minimum and these details matter. My parents and sister had the other room. It was cleaner and looked much newer, but its pillow also smelled like dust mites. The handheld shower was leaking and kept dripping for the rest of the stay. My sister got shocked three times by the electric shower, and my father did too. We asked to change rooms, and they fixed the shower. The photos were taken at the end of the stay, so things look a little messy, but the furniture and cleanliness were no different.
