Mona Hotel

I stayed here in February 2026 for an event at the hotel itself, and the service was impeccable. The hotel is beautiful and has excellent facilities. The room was great, with top-quality linens and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a 10/10, with plenty of à la carte choices, and the food at the rooftop bar and restaurant was excellent. It can hold its own against other five-star hotels in Brazil.

It's been a long time since I stayed in a hotel in Brazil this impressive. The breakfast was simply wonderful, and the facilities were impeccable, with striking detail, art, and sophistication.

The service was fantastic and the facilities were perfect. It's a top-class hotel in a great location, and everything went perfectly.

The hotel is very pretty, though some amenities are missing. We arrived in the middle of the night and reception didn't even have water to offer us, but that was the least of it. We had booked two rooms and invited a friend for a drink on the rooftop because it had been described as a very pleasant place. In the elevator corridor, two rather unpleasant employees stopped us to ask whether our guest was staying at the hotel and said she'd have to pay R$ 200 in consumption to go up. Four people having drinks would easily spend more than R$ 200. We went up, but the unpleasant feeling stayed with me. The place was completely empty when we arrived, which wasn't surprising after that kind of welcome, so we decided to go back down. It's a questionable marketing policy. I suggest the managers visit hotels in Rio, such as Fairmont, Hilton, and Windsor, where visitors who want a drink and a view of Copacabana beach are welcomed with open arms.
