An hour after we checked in, we were told we had to leave if we couldn’t provide passports for our minor children. At first, we’d been told it was fine that we didn’t have their identification. The female manager showed awful customer service, refused to accept copies of the passports, and said she’d resell our room. After we left, she changed her story and said she would have accepted copies. The staff seem to have no idea how to run a hotel front desk. If you want to be treated with respect, stay at another hotel in Pipa.

The location was great, but after 30 years of traveling, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve had. The doorman wouldn’t listen when I kept saying I had a reservation, and the receptionist had trouble finding it. We then waited 30 minutes and got a worse room than the one I’d booked. The internet in that room dropped out every five minutes. I take back the extra star I was going to give for the location.

The rooms were clean, the service was nice, and everyone was friendly, so I had a very good experience. Breakfast was kind of disorganized, though. Some things ran out very early and weren’t replaced, so you should get there soon.

The pool and gardens are lovely, and the location is really convenient. The room felt a little dated, though, and the bathroom could use a renovation. It was okay overall.
