A lovely spot with clean rooms and friendly staff. It’s quite a way from the town center, about 1.5 km, so having your own vehicle is a good idea. The local bus does pass by fairly regularly.

The inn is a little outside the center, which suited us well. It was peaceful and let us switch off from the noise. Getting around on foot was easy too, about 15 minutes along the flat path, or around 10 by the shorter, slightly hilly route. Two excellent restaurants, Tucunare and Quintai, are only half a block away, with great menus and reasonable prices, so we didn’t feel we needed to go into the center. What made our stay special was the warmth of everyone working there. The receptionists spoke slowly and clearly to help us understand, and patiently explained where to eat and how to get around. The breakfast staff introduced us to tapioca, made fresh to order with sweet and savory fillings. Delicious! They also always heated water for our mate, which meant a lot to us. Thanks to all of them, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend the inn. A couple of things could be better: the pillows were a bit uncomfortable and could be replaced or upgraded. We also couldn’t connect to any Spanish-language TV channels or programs, so it would be nice to have one.

Sadly, my stay was frustrating. There was mold on the walls, and the hotel didn’t provide a blanket, saying they’d washed them all. They offered extra sheets and a decorative throw instead. That’s a basic linen failure and showed they weren’t prepared to keep guests warm.
