The rooms were comfortable, with a TV, air conditioning, a good shower, a comfy bed, and a hammock. Ricardo and the staff were incredibly nice. Ricardo spoke English really well and even made me iced black tea, which is hard to find in Brazil. He and the team also secretly arranged a birthday surprise for my friend: two towels folded into swans forming a heart, plus a cake.

Our group had a great stay. The apartments were spacious and clean, and the owner welcomed us warmly and was very kind. It’s a lovely place with a beautiful, peaceful garden and a great atmosphere.

I booked through Booking.com on June 13, 2019. The next day, the hotel called to say they had no room for me because of a system issue that caused a communication error with Booking.com. I’m sharing this in case it helps someone avoid the same reservation problem. I still don’t know whether the error came from the hotel’s system or somewhere else. I’ve used Booking.com for more than ten years and had never run into this before.

Ricardo and his staff were constantly checking in and saying hello, and their kindness really surprised me. He speaks great English and was especially welcoming to me as an American. Brazil is a friendly place already, but they went above and beyond. Muito muito obrigado.
