Stay Cool Bungalow

You’re close to the center but far enough away that you don’t hear people on the street. The bungalows are in a great location, and the owner provides great service; the amenities are good too. One drawback is the heavy car traffic on this road all night, which can be quite loud. Also, you have to walk up a slight incline to reach the site each day, so it may not suit everyone.

We spent almost three weeks at Stay Cool Bungalows, and it was more than perfect. The quiet street made it easy to sleep, even with the parties going on every day in Brazil, while shops and restaurants were close by. Our bungalow was very big, with a kitchen, two queen-size beds, and a large bathroom. It was clean and air-conditioned, and the little terrace had a hammock and a table where we really appreciated being able to eat outside. I strongly recommend it.

We thought Stay Cool might be too good to be true, but after three nights it turned out even better than we expected. The room was a perfect size, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast isn’t included, though you can cook for yourself and eat at the picnic table beneath the trees, facing your Vila. There are plenty of restaurants and activity nearby, but the flat itself is completely quiet. I’d recommend staying here.

The tropical courtyard and front porches with hammocks make this a relaxing place, and the rooms are spacious. It’s set back from the main street, so it stays quiet. Johnny was great and took time to share helpful recommendations for restaurants and attractions.
