We went to the restaurant twice, and one meal wasn’t enough to try everything. My wife and I loved it. It’s a beautiful place, and we’d like to return to Pipa and stay at Toca too. The slow-cook approach makes it suited to a relaxed meal with a couple or a group, so it may not be the right pick if you’re in a hurry. The servers were wonderful, and on my second visit they remembered my name. We’ll be back when we have time for another leisurely meal.

The bungalows sit in a beautiful, lush garden, which we really enjoyed, and the restaurant service was great. The food, though, was only average, and some people at reception didn’t seem interested in helping guests. For the price, I expected more overall.

Dinner was a highlight, especially the fish cooked in banana leaves, the fish with nuts, and the tuna. The place is beautiful, with thoughtful decor, and the staff were polite, professional, and clearly knew their work. I’d try to eat there again next time I’m in Pipa. I’d also love to stay there one day if my budget allows.

Toca da Coruja is set in beautiful surroundings, immersed in nature, and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was delicious, the music stayed at a comfortable volume, and the staff were helpful. Definitely recommend it.
