We’d definitely come back. The villas are lovely, and the pool is a great place to unwind after the beach. Since it’s outside Pipa’s village center, it’s peaceful and easy to rest. Staff were helpful throughout and shared useful suggestions for things to see and do in Pipa. The center beach is a short walk away, and there’s a bus stop for Madeiros’ beach right beside the accommodation. I’d have liked a few more kitchen utensils.

The good part was breakfast: the staff who made it knew how to cook, and it was lovely. The rest of our stay was a mess. Our villa hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived, with old food in the fridge and underwear in the furniture. The mosquito net over one bed was filthy, and supposedly clean towels and kitchen cloths had food and other unidentified stains. Staff fixed most of this after several requests, though it took 24 hours to get a replacement net and have the door lock repaired. My request to speak with the manager or owner went unanswered. I saw him at breakfast and politely asked if he knew about our problems, but he wouldn’t speak to me and told a staff member to handle it. The staff member apologized, saying he was very busy and had other jobs. The owner was around the property spending time with friends, but never tried to speak with us. Management gave us the impression they didn’t care whether we had problems. Internet was very unreliable, more often off than on. In the last villa on the left, water pressure was so low it was barely enough for a shower. Bring plenty of bug spray, since bugs got at us both inside and outside the rooms.
