Pousada Beira Mar

I liked it, and the view of the beach was great. It was my first time staying at an inn, so I hadn’t realized they don’t provide pillows, blankets, or toilet paper. Also, the room photos they sent me didn’t show the same room I ended up in.

The beach itself is peaceful, with no car stereo noise or rowdy behavior. Even though the garage is open, I felt fine leaving the car there. But don’t be fooled by the photos. What they sent wasn’t what we found on arrival. The kitchen and bathroom were very small, there wasn’t even toilet paper so we had to buy some, and there was no microwave. They charge a cleaning fee, yet the bathroom had a cobweb and a spider to go with it. Again, don’t trust the photos.

We had a great stay, and the apartments are well equipped right across from the beach. We hadn’t noticed that towels weren’t provided, but the owner, Raquel, lent us some. She was always very helpful, and it was a really good value. We recommend it!

The apartment was simple but very well equipped, with a TV, air conditioning, and a fully stocked kitchen. I got an interior apartment with only hopper windows, so I wasn’t lucky with that. The shared facilities are small, though there is a barbecue for everyone, and the location is perfect. The service was warm. I’d happily recommend it for a summer stay.
