Pousada Atlântica

Really excellent.

The location is excellent, but the pousada fell short in so many other ways that I don't want to return. The bar service was only fair, and its prices were higher than competitors'. Breakfast was a struggle, with very little variety and only basic options. In the bathroom, the shower had almost no water pressure and there was no handheld bidet spray. The window air conditioner was noisy enough that I had to sleep with headphones on to block it out.

The beachfront location was the only good thing, though I do appreciate that they arranged an earlier breakfast when we asked because we had activities booked early. We stayed once before two years ago, and it was well cared for and organized then. I don't know what happened since, but this time the pousada was poorly maintained, with mold in the cupboards and an air conditioner that barely worked and made noise. The worst part was the loud music from afternoon until late at night. When we asked them to turn it down, they said it wasn't loud and we were bothered for no reason. There were eight of us, and none of us will ever come back. If you want peace and rest, don't come here.
