Pousada Plataforma

The host welcomed us very warmly and was helpful, attentive, and polite. But the room wasn’t ready for guests, even at a rate of 50 reais a night. There were lots of termites in the ceiling lining, falling onto the bed, and cobwebs on the kitchen and bedroom walls. It seemed like only the floor had been cleaned. I think these negative reviews could be avoided if the place were prepared for guests. It’s not enough just to take the money, you also have to provide something in return. I won’t get into the other issues, because the termites and cobwebs were what bothered me most.

The hosts were extremely attentive, polite, and friendly. The location was great too, very close to the sea, with a snack bar and market on the same block. My family and I had seven amazing days here. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back!

Don’t go. The rooms are stuffy, smell moldy, aren’t clean, and have very little space. The facilities don’t match what the Booking listing seems to show, and there’s no air conditioning or fan. This was one of the worst pousadas I’ve seen, and I don’t recommend it. I booked without seeing the place first, but when we arrived, none of the rooms were fit to stay in. The place is awful, sorry for the wording. There are cheaper hotels than this dreadful pousada.

The location was good, close to the beach toward the Plataforma de Tramandaí, and the place felt safe. We hadn’t booked ahead, but they looked after us for one night, and we were served well. Our room was simple, visibly new, and clean, though the window still had no glass. It had a private bathroom, a double bed, and a bunk bed, but nothing else: no bedding, pillows, towels, fan, or other items. The double mattress was very worn and uncomfortable.
