The pousada is inside a gated community, so it felt safe and peaceful, though getting to Trancoso center or the beach meant taking the car, about five minutes. We stayed at pousada das Janas for five nights and it felt like a little paradise. Past the main gate, there’s a magical garden, with careful details in every corner and everything super clean. The staff were lovely, especially the ladies at the breakfast buffet. And a special thanks to the two Janas. We’d absolutely recommend staying here.

The condominium where the inn sits is calm and feels safe. We loved our stay at Casa das Janas. The house is beautiful, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and decorated with care. Jordana helped us out with restaurant and shop suggestions, plus interesting local tips. Every morning Cleo welcomed us with a smile and wonderful treats for breakfast. If you’re going to Trancoso, go to Casa das Janas. You’ll love it.

The heated pool was the centerpiece for us, making the late afternoons extra special, and we’ll definitely return. We booked pousada das janas for two couples and spent four days in a place that felt like a dream. Jordana greeted us with coconut water, and Cleo made a great breakfast: tapioca, couscous, tapioca pudding, plenty of fruit, and more. The rooms are adorable, as is the whole house, with that Trancoso feel. Everywhere is picture worthy. The inn is inside a gated community, which also made us feel at ease about safety.

Casa das Janas feels intimate and homelike, with just the right mix of comfort and charm. Everything has been thought through down to the smallest details, and breakfast is delicious. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back. Thanks so much, Janas and team!

Jordana was easily the best host, welcoming us so warmly. The house is incredible and the reception was just as good, with everything top quality. We were really happy with our stay. The pool was lovely, and so were the hot tub and the rooms.
