Hotel Makarena

The location is excellent, though the hotel itself is simple.

Nice one 👏

The service was disappointing too. They quoted one price, then gave me a completely different amount when it was time to pay. Breakfast was very limited, nowhere near what you'd expect for the ridiculous price. The room had mold and no fan or minibar, and the TV was so old it barely worked. There was so much static on the intercom that it was hard to hear. I even found a snack bag behind the bed, which made the lack of cleaning obvious. Honestly, the whole stay was awful. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and I don't plan to come back.

We came home really disappointed. There were seven of us from the same family, in town for the ESA graduation on November 22. We had booked in August and paid ahead of time, so we were horrified when we got to the room. The toilet was dirty, there was no toilet paper, and the beds were poorly made. The sheets and comforters were dirty and smelled bad. We took the bedding off and asked for clean sheets, but the owner wouldn't let us have any, saying the housekeepers had checked the rooms. We ended up sleeping without sheets because we couldn't stand the dirty smell. After seven years working as a housekeeper, I could tell as soon as I walked in that the room hadn't been cleaned. There was hair all over the floor, and the breakfast was cold. The receptionists were all very polite, especially the woman who welcomed us on the 22nd. We paid a lot for a service we didn't receive.
